Hello! My name is Samantha Walters and I am a recent graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. I received my Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education in May of 2021.
I have studied in choir for fifteen years, notably in the St. Michael-Albertville Concert Choir under the direction of Joseph Osowski and Brandon Berger, and the Gustavus Choir under the direction of Brandon Dean. Additionally, I have taken private piano lessons with Latvian conductor, pianist, and violist, Dzintars Josts, and Yumiko Oshima-Ryan, Japanese pianist and educator. I have also studied with rising composer Alexandra Bryant, Gregory Aune, Elisabeth Cherland, Jeffrey Hess, Patricia Snapp, and internationally renowned pianist Adam Zukiewicz.

I taught piano lessons for two years through Buffalo Community Education in Buffalo, Minnesota and four years through the Gustavus Adolphus PianoLab Studio. Additionally, I have over 6 years of experience teaching in-person as well as online lessons.
I have also given three years of lessons on the guitar and one year on the ukulele. In my years of teaching individual lessons, I have taught ages 5-21 and thoroughly enjoyed every second!

As a pianist, I have performed works by Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, and Mozart, among many others. (Click below to view recordings of past performances) I have also spent the last three years as an accompanist for private voice lesson students, as well as choir groups and recitals. I have also performed at numerous weddings and conferences!

If I'm not teaching, playing, or singing, I love cooking and spending time with my family and my dog, Stimpy. I also have a new passion for DIY projects!
